Morning in SoCal

Up this morning just about sunrise. Looks like it will be a pretty day today, warm.

There is no good news coming out of Washington or New York. Our economy continues to slide, pushed over the edge by a power hungry, criminal government. Here is hoping the United States can survive until we can have another election cycle. Perhaps the populace will wake up and understand the wages of the collective. I haven't much hope of that. We have created a dependent class that is larger than the productive one. They will cotinue to vote themselves goodies until the suppliers of the goodies are done. Then, no more goodies.

What happens then? I am not a soothsayer, but I will hazard a couple of guesses: hunger and martial law. Government will try to fix the situation by trying harder to control everything. And it won't work. If we don't stop the slide to the collective, we will experience first: a command economy that will fail, a return to fiefdoms and feudalism ,and then anarchy and a revisit of the Dark Ages.

Ain't it funny how history tends to repeat itself when we refuse to learn the lessons presented? If we don't have a set of laws that pertain to everyone, and the guaranty of person liberty and the ownership and control of the individual over his or her property, we have serfdom, anarchy, murder and hunger. These are our choices. Which do you prefer?

Note to a congresscritter

This is a note I sent to my erstwhile congresscritter, Chet Edwwards.

I have a multipliciy of gripes. I shall try to be brief.
1. I need and demand to see a copy of Barak Obama's birth certificate. Now.
2. I demand an end to the spending orgy.
3. I demand the Federal Reserve be closed.
4. I demand the IMF be closed.
5. I demand the UN be thrown out of the United States.
6. I demand an end to all foreign aid.
7.I demand an end to the union threat in this country.
8. I demand the United States return to constitutional government, no more no less.
9. I demand an end to all subsidies of all kinds.
10. I demand an end to all non-funded mandates to the states. (And since we ain't got no money, it should follow that there can be no funded mandates either.)
I am asking that you folks get the federal government out of our lives, out of our bedrooms, out of our bodies, and out of our pockets. Now.
Any congresscritter that cannot do these things need to resign and move to the communist country of their choice. Just not be here. This is the United States of America. The country that celebrates and protects the INDIVIDUAL'S rights and responsibilities. I will not live in a collectivist/communist country and I ain't plannin' on movin'.
The federal government ain't my momma, it ain't my daddy and it ain't my owner. It is my agent. And if it fails to discharge its duties as outlined under the Constitution of the United States of America, it gets fired. Remember? You guys are the hired help. You are not our rulers.
