Morning in SoCal
Up this morning just about sunrise. Looks like it will be a pretty day today, warm.
There is no good news coming out of Washington or New York. Our economy continues to slide, pushed over the edge by a power hungry, criminal government. Here is hoping the United States can survive until we can have another election cycle. Perhaps the populace will wake up and understand the wages of the collective. I haven't much hope of that. We have created a dependent class that is larger than the productive one. They will cotinue to vote themselves goodies until the suppliers of the goodies are done. Then, no more goodies.
What happens then? I am not a soothsayer, but I will hazard a couple of guesses: hunger and martial law. Government will try to fix the situation by trying harder to control everything. And it won't work. If we don't stop the slide to the collective, we will experience first: a command economy that will fail, a return to fiefdoms and feudalism ,and then anarchy and a revisit of the Dark Ages.
Ain't it funny how history tends to repeat itself when we refuse to learn the lessons presented? If we don't have a set of laws that pertain to everyone, and the guaranty of person liberty and the ownership and control of the individual over his or her property, we have serfdom, anarchy, murder and hunger. These are our choices. Which do you prefer?
